Weather Malformed

As the storms hit the Western Cape

They all try to make

A great escape

But it was a bit too late

It’s building to an emergency state

As the rain came down

With thunderous sounds

We were all in house bound

And the walls were shaking from the ground

In a nervous state we were found

This weekend’s floods

And falls of muds

Did Pretty much

Scare us As such

As roads were smudged

It’s taken us by storm

It’s beyond our summer norm

We had to stay in our dorms

Round this time it’s normally warm

Seems like the weather’s malformed

Oh please send help

Where is Michael Phelps

To reach out to the shouts of yelps

As the roads start to melt

We have to save the whelps

Thank you at last

With one siren blast

The weather man forecast

That it had now come to pass

We can finally hold on to the mast
